"I lie behind the star-bright sky.
I do not fear this life's good-bye.
Close your eyes for my caress...
...for I am the Darkness.
"
Pascal's rhyme

The Darkness' Lair was a place where the Darkness brought Pascal to and may have resided in before moving into The Blood Wood. It lies in a town called Visegard, which means, "where Darkness rises."

Season 1[]

Long Live The King
Pascal confessed to Kenna that Visegard, a "bad place in the mountains", was where "the man with the sharp teeth" took him. Sebastian spied on their encounter and, following that revelation, decided to check that place out for himself. He believed it held clues and may have even been the place where The Darkness resided. Nostradamus volunteers to go with him.

Slaughter of Innocence
As Sebastian and Nostradamus arrived in Visegard, they noted that every house was deserted, except for one - the one in which Pascal and his family had lived. When Bash and Nostradamus enter the house, they see corpse upon corpse. Judging by the stench, the sacrifices were fresh. They encounter a wall that has drawings carved in it - a storm, fire, flood, etc. - each of which are depictions of actual events that occurred in the region.

They get closer and closer to present day, until they turn into predictions - things that haven't happened yet, but likely will. Next to a picture of the blackening of the sun, which points to the eclipse so recently witnessed, is a picture of the stars falling. Lastly, there is a rhyme written on the wall - the same one Pascal always chants to himself. This leads Nostradamus and Bash to realise that Pascal is, actually, the new Darkness.
