Season 4

  • James Stuart is forced to 'give' his lands back to Lord Darnley because the old Lennox Estates are the only lands that earn enough income to give Darnley the right titles that are required, and for him to earn a certain amount of income. They are also the same lands taken from Darnley's father for being a traitor, and Mary Stuart wants to erase Darnley's family's stigma. [2]
