Lady Patrice is first shown with Queen Catherine in the garden when Lord Narcisse appears with the young John Philip. She stayed with him while the Queen and Lord Chancellor discussed business.
Days later, Catherine tasks Lady Patrice with putting non-lethal poison in Cardinal Rosales wine. It was to irritate his foot fungus, but because she forgot to mix it up it also caused him to go temporarily blind.
