- "I'm sorry your majesty. There is no message."
- —Lady Amelie
Lady Amelie is very witty and cunning. She knows what is expected from her, and will do whatever it takes to get what she needs to move up in a man's world. She knows her only power comes from her sexuality, and is willing to use it.
Lady Amelie is the niece of Lord Narcisse, through his sister. She was brought up with the education fitting her station and has a brilliant mind, enjoys poetry, playing the lute, and has a gift for embroidery.
Lady Amelie was introduced to King Francis by her uncle Stéphane Narcisse. Stéphane had nothing but praises for her in front of the king, and after a short introduction she was sent to look at the tapestry in the map room.
Hours later, Amelie saw King Francis at the dance and took her opportunity. She told him her uncle had a message for him and led him away from the party. She led them to a room with a bedroom and kissed him, then confessed there was no message. She then told the King she was with him of her own free will. She found him attractive, and smart so she had no objections to laying with him. She then put his mid at ease and told him she was no longer a virgin, so he would not be taking anything from her. Francis soon agreed to her sexual persuasions and the two had sex that night.
Francis left hours later, but not before asking if she would be alright.
