King Philip II is the oldest son of Charles V, the Holy Roman Emperor. He married Elisabeth of Valois and went back to Spain together as King and Queen.


Personality

Philip appears to be a kind and gentle man, and very much in love with his new bride.

Early Life

Philip becaame the King of Spain when he was 13 years old.

Season 1

Philip married Elisabeth, the oldest daughter, and princess of France. She is the sister to the next heir of the throne, Prince Francis.

On the night of their wedding, they consummated their marriage. As part of the protocol, they did this in front of an audience that includes the Heads of Church, as proof of their marriage.
