Philip appears to be a kind and gentle man.

Early Life

Season 1

Philip marry's Elizabeth, the only princess of France, and sister to the next heir to the throne Francis II.

On the night of their wedding they are expected to consummate their marriage, as part of protocol they are to do this in front of an audience that includes heads of Church, as proof of their marriage.

Trivia

  • Since it's 1557, King Philip should still be married to Mary I of England.
  • Elisabeth of Valois is actually Philip II of Spain 3rd wife, as his first 2 died natural deaths. She was 14 and he was 35, they are both said to have been in a very happy marriage and it is noted though history how Phillip would dote on her.
