King Francis' Funeral took place the day after he was assassinated. It was a ceremony held in the honour of King Francis, a chance for his closest family and friends to say goodbye.
Event[]
Mary walks up to Francis' coffin, with Greer and Lola walking behind her. Mary is then approached by Lord Narcisse, who informs her that Francis' assassin got away. He further reveals that the remaining gang members are part of a radical sect of Scottish Lords, who plotted her demise after the death of her mother, Marie de Guise. Mary asks if he can get any more information out of him, and when Narcisse says no, Mary commands that he hang him.
Sebastian places Francis' sword on his coffin and listens as Mary laments the loss of her beloved husband. In the audience, Queen Catherine is also very distraught. She asks Nostradamus if he could stay at French Court to help her and support her, but Nostradamus insists on leaving. However, he leaves her with a parting gift - a final prediction.

A guard then comes up to Mary and informs her that it is custom for the Queen of France to ride in the first carriage. But Mary shakes her head and replies that she is no longer the Queen of France. The procession to the burial site then begins to leave the courtyard as Mary walks behind her husband's coffin.

- King Francis II died on 5 December 1560 from an ear infection.
- King Francis II's body was interred in the Basicila of St Denis on 23 December 1560.
