Days later Bash returned with his brother's sister, Clarissa. Bash explained how his brother, King Francis had gotten sick, and how a trusted man named Nostradamus had predicted he would die. The only way to stop this; was if Queen Catherine's first child died in his place. It was Bash's idea, but Delphine helped him. They both poisoned her drink, and soon Clarissa died in Bash's arms. Delphine promised it was a more merciful death, than what she had originally seen for the young woman.

The Siege

Sister Delphine - The Siege 9

First kiss

Delphine and Sebastian both met in the woods. They had been doing so for sometime and had become a couple. Bash asked Delphine to come with him to court and promised she would like it there. Delphine wasn't sure, as people know her dark practice in bash.

Delphine did end up coming to court. Bash and Delphine talked in his room later, he told her not to worry about what anyone thought of her. There she met Kenna, Bash's estranged wife. She saw radiant energy to Kenna. Delphine laid her hands on her. They all had a brief conversion before Delphine made her exit.

She went to his chambers later when Sebastian cut his hand. She noticed the blood on his shirt and had a strange feeling. Before the Siege, she had carnal relations with a servant and she was using the bloody shirt and the servant to cast a binding spell on her and Bash so he can use bash for her pagan.

Later Delphine revealed to be a Pagan Before the Siege, when she preformed Blood Magic on herself and a servant of the castle, to cast a binding spell on her and Sebastian. Delphine had sex and that she worked a spell on him.

Burn
Delphine was sentenced to death, after being charged with the death of someone in the castle. She pleaded with Sebastian to make sure she was not drowned. Later she was set to die by being burned at the stake. Before she escaped, Bash felt his body heating up like it was on fire too. Delphine then broke free from her ropes and ran into the The Blood Wood.

Betrothed - (Mentioned)
Sebastian asks Leith Bayard to look into a note Delphine left in his chambers. He can't investigate the matter himself and hopes Leith's former status as a kitchen boy will work in their favor. No one is missing in the kitchen and finds that the missing woman has actually gone to elope with her lover. Bash darts off to find the couple hoping to catch them before they expose Delphine's dark practice. Bash finds the bodies of the lovers dead in a boat, apparently murdered in some sort of ritual, did by Delphine.

The Price
Delphine is at a convent when Bash finds her and rescues her. Charles arrives and commands both Delphine and Bash to save Francis. Mary rests with Francis and they daydream about their future together. He slips away just as Delphine, Charles, and Bash arrive. Mary begs Delphine to save Francis, so she works her magic and he returns, but the price is a life.

In a Clearing
Delphine doesn't want to stay at court. Sebastian wants her help capturing the murderer still at large. She agrees to stay and help when Bash tells her that their bond is greater than any binding ritual she may have performed.

Bash takes Delphine to investigate the site of the most recent murder. She feels rage and evil in a clearing and the two enter a barn where they find a secret room where the killer has jars of human hearts stored in vinegar on a shelf. While they're inside, the killer returns, but he manages to escape.

The Hound and the Hare
Bash and Delphine's relationship has progressed to one of intimate companionship, and he continues his search for the murderer in the village. He gets word of another death and visits the body. Delphine has a vision both of where the killer has been and where he will be going.

Delphine's senses lead her to Greer's tavern and Bash wonders if she might be the killer's next target. Bash suggests they close the tavern until the threat has passed. Greer and her girls decide to keep the tavern open and fight back.

Bash brings his men into the tavern they stay there for the whole night. As dawn draws near, Bash and his men depart from the tavern, leaving Greer alone. She goes outside to return Leith's cloak and Delphine begins to feel the dark man. While Bash rescues Greer, the dark man attacks Delphine.
