Lady Annabelle was hand picked by Her Royal Highness, Queen Elizabeth to serve as her proxy in the wedding between herself, and the French Protestant, Louis Condé.

After Lord Condé agreed to the proposal, Annabelle was brought in by Lord Akers to stand in as the proxy bride for the wedding. That night she slept beside her proxy husband, with a broad sword between the two of them. The sword was to keep the husband from taking the virginity of the proxy wife. She asked if Condé wanted to hear anything about his new wife, but he declined.

The next morning, she died in a fire that was set to end their marriage. She was burned alive, along with the Priest and all legal documents regarding the marriage the night before.
