Biography[]

Early Life[]

The Medici family put pressure on The Catholic Church for Pope Paul IV not to see King Henry II of France as he was seeking to gain a divorce from Catherine de' Medici.

Season 1[]

Inquisition
Pietro de' Medici and Francesca de' Medici traveled to France along with King Henry. They came to visit Catherine de' Medici to stop Henry's attempt to divorce their cousin. They explained the gravity of the situation as Pietro informed Catherine that she might be beheaded if they fail.

Later, Pietro and Francesca met with Catherine in the garden to gain information from a wet nurse. After seeing that she wouldn't give them information on the location of a baby, they took her to the dungeon and put her on the rack. Not long after, they got their information.

Take care of this!

Once they realized their afforest may be in vain, they told Catherine to end her life instead of being divorced and executed by King Henry. They did not want her to ruin the family name.

Herself and Pietro returned to Florence, Italy that night.
